The number of litter box related products on the market is mind boggling at times. Here at the Happy Litter Box, we try to make some sense of it for you so we decided to put together a list of our favorite products….products that will change your life in 2013. Kinda like Oprah’s favorite things except much, much more practical!

We’ve tried a lot of litters and will continue to test in order to offer our recommendations for options to try. We know that every cat and every situation is different so what works for some cats won’t work for others. There are lots of great litters on the market and we’ve tried a lot of them but nothing has made us want to switch from World’s Best Cat Litter 
Favorite Litter Scoops 
I’m not afraid to talk about things that are exciting to me – like litter scoops. A crappy litter scoop can ruin your day. Oh, yes. You know what I’m talking about. You need to try the Litter-Lifter Kitty Litter Scoop. These scoops are super sturdy and have these smooth, triangular tines that litter litter-ally slides right through. They are fantastic for digging out the corners (why do all the cats like to pee in the same exact spot? In the corner of the box?) when they get gross. LOVE THESE. And everyone I know who has tried them loves them. And, they’re priced right at less than $7 a pop.
P.S. accept no substitutes! The original is the one that works. The others are just bad knock offs and you’ll be disappointed. For reals.
Favorite Litter Box Convenience
You may have seen my recent review of The Litter Genie but suffice it to say, I love this thing. It’s easy to use, convenient and it works at keeping the smell of litter bags at bay. You scoop the litter box, open up the top of the Genie, drop the offending clumps into the receptacle, close the lid and pull the lever. The “stuff” is dropped into another odor controlling bag in the base of the Genie, where it stays until you collect it. I have a small plastic “step to open” Hefty trash can in each bathroom with a litter box — I scoop the litter boxes any time I’m in the rooms and dump the litter in the little can — it keeps the odor GONE! The Genie sounds like a good idea, but the lids on these Hefy cans seem to close tight enough that we haven’t had a problem with odor — and they are big enough to (usually) scoop the litterbox for a week.
Getting the odorous stuff out of the box and into a closed container seems to be key in odor control for us.
I also love World’s Best. I’ve been eying the Litter Genie. It sounds like a good product. I hadn’t heard of Nose Offense before. Now I want to try it
My boys can’t live without their Drinkwell fountain. Frankie learned how to turn on the bathroom sink to get water and this has definitely curbed that “trick.” Harry likes to splash when I’m filling up the reservoir. Sophie could care less but if it keeps those annoying boys away from her, she’s thrilled.
My favorite pet related product is Woolite with Oxy spray carpet cleaner. We use it to clean hairballs messes from our carpet and area rugs. I have 5 cats and currently foster a number, and use Rubbermaid tubs for litter boxes. I find the urine clumps stick less to those than the very smooth Sterlite boxes. I keep hearing how great the Litter Lifter is and will be sure to try them. Thanks for all the great product info!

I actually use something similar to the litter genie! It’s called litter locker. Between the World’s best and the litter locker, there is no crazy cat lady smell to my home!
Tinky and Ella, my sassy queens, have authorized me to say that we all appreciate having baking soda in the litter to minimize stink.
I hope this is also for Canadians i would love a new litter box i have 3 cats and my litter box is pretty used up i had it for 10 years now.

I love the Drinkwell fountain I have! I had to graduate to the giant stainless steel one since my dog could drink the entire cache after one good walk! I could use a new set of litter scoops! We go through them quick with a set of six cats here!
The single item used the most is his scratching post. I use treats to get hi to use it instead of scratching my couch, works great. Only thing I don’t like, he rips them apart in about a month n they fall apart and really are an eye sore.
Absolutely love the litter-lifter! It’s the best. My cats just got the Ultimate Scratcher and they love it. Even my husband noticed how much it gets used. I may have to get another.

Hi! We can’t live without Hartz puppy potty liners inside our Rubbermaid containers that our litter boxes (covered boxes) sit in. The potty pads soak up the potty that seems to migrate over the sides of the little boxes-I’ve tried explaining to the cats that if they would just lower the back ends a little…..
Per your recommendation in an earlier column I bought a litter lifter scoop, and I love it! It took a bit to get used to it since it is flat compared to other scoops, but works quite well. I am particularly anxious to try the litter genie; my daughter is happy with hers.
Sounds like a great system and with 6 cats I can always use an extra one or two!
I too like to use clear storage containers as litter boxes but I have a couple of cats who pee vertically so I get the high sided storage boxes and cut out a door on one side of the box.
i was so happy when i discovered your blog!! i have 4 not so little darlings and of course our little man, bean is occasionally litterbox challenged, especially when he is “pissed” at us, pun intended. i switched to the storage boxes and i am absolutely thrilled with them, and so are the kitties, even bean! so a big thank you from sparky, freddie, raven and bean!
Bandit and Shadow use a storage box with World’s Best Cat Litter in it, and we all love it. If there ever is odor I use Nose Offense – it works great. I got it after a previous column of yours recommended it. As for the hairball messes on the carpet, I use Folex – a commercial product that hotels and motels use. It cleans up the stain even days after it has dried. I just ordered a Litter Lifter because of this column. Thanks for making our lives easier!
We love the Litter Lifter! I mean, if you have to scoop the poop, you might as well do it in the most efficient way, right? As far as litter is concerned, I keep coming back to Scoop Away, but use Precious Cat too. My cats humor me and go along with the program–no problems!
Using the clear litter boxes. Work great.
I love Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Ultra kitty litter. I have one cat with asthma, one with allergies, and one that eats World’s Best cat litter like it’s lobster. Precious Cat is inexpensive ($15.99 for a 40lb bag), hypoallergenic, and unscented. You can’t flush it like World’s Best, but it does control odor really well. A goo alternative for those who can’t use World’s Best for whatever reason.
My most favorite cat product is – paws down – World’s Best Cat Litter. Can’t live without it!!! Making the switch was the best thing I did for me and for my felines!
Our si. (6!) cats make quite a mess even with extra large litter boxes, and by cutting a “step-thru area” in the extra large (& deep) storage boxes, it’s solved many of our problems, but we still need a better litter than Tidy Cats (multiples) for reducing tracking & smell from our oldest who ‘forgets’ to cover!! We absolutely SWEAR by ‘NATURE’s MIRACLE’ for getting stains out of carpets & anything else they choose to vomit, pee or poop on! We’ve used this product for almost 30 yrs now & haven’t found another we like better! It’s pleasant & natural citrus (orange, at least to my nose it is), isn’t overwhelming, but adequately refreshing, & animals tend to not re-soil the areas which is another bonus. We agree with your choice of scoops- unfortunately it took several nasty incidences to get us to the point where we’d spend nearly $10 for a scoop, but it has SO BEEN WORTH IT!!!
Would love to use the storage boxes, but one of my furkids won’t use the litter box unless it has a lid, I guess he’s shy. Love World’s Best litter, haven’t used the litter lift scooper. I guess I’ll have to keep my eye out for one if they’re that good. We also use a lidded garbage can to collect the used litter and once a week take it out to the trash.
I love the Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat litter. I’ve tried others, but nothing works as good as this for the price!!

We have three litter boxes, one is a small dog litter pan that our blind (super sized) cat uses. This box is easy for her to walk in and step out. our favorite litter is fresh step unscented scoop litter. we find our cats don’t sneeze as much with this litter. It scoops nice and keeps the odor down. For accidents and odor control we use two products- natures miracle and anti icky poo. Both clean fabric as well as hard surfaces, and no residual staining. Our litter box room has a sliding glass door, we keep our covered litter pail outside, we don’t have any odors left behind.
I took the idea of using a plastic storage box for my cat who likes to pee standing up, and I bought one that matches the house. lol. I cut an opening for them to go in and out of, and it has been amazing. No more messes outside the box, down the side of the box, puddles on the floor, etc. Thanks for the ideas.
Baking soda and my steam mop – the steam mop cleans up all the bits of litter that get stuck to the bathroom floor.
One product that we cannot be without for our cats is World’s Best Cat Litter, nothing has been so easy to clean with no mess and odor.
I would love to try these products. We live a small house and recently my brothers moved in due to his job loss. We already had myself, my husband and my mother in the house. The litter box currently resides in the hall between mine and my mothers room and sometimes very difficult to keep the smell down.

Primal Raw cat food. I drive 30 minutes to the closest store that carries it because it is such amazing food. If my kitty gets anything else, the litter box is so unpleasant that she won’t even bury her droppings; she bolts like the smell is going to attack her!

My absolute favorite product is World’s Best Litter..simply put, the name speaks for itself. I have five cats. This product is the only litter that absorbs oder, is dust free, and extremely easy to maintain. More importunely, my cats favor the World’s Best Litter over any other brand.

I have 4 cats, so I use a LOT of litter. I have 3 plastic litterboxes and would need at least 2 more. I usually use normal clumping litter.

We use the worlds best cat litter for multiple cats. Tried another brand made from corn was not as good so we are back.
My favorite MUST HAVE product is a Sterilite 24 Quart bucket with a snap on lid. It perfectly holds the large bag of Purina Cat Chow for my 4 furbabies. I don’t know how I’d manage without it. It keeps their food fresh and very easily accessible!
I have a cat with respitory issues due to a past case of severe URI. She couldn’t handle the dust from clay litter and when I switched to Worlds Best multi cat (I have two) it made a HUGE difference! She doesn’t sneeze and wheeze after using the box and she is much more enthusiastic about playing because she can breathe better! And the odor control is the best I’ve noticed with just litter, but I’ll admit it only works when the cat covers her mess.

I currently have cats, ages 12, 5, and 3. Two were strays and one was adopted from the ASPCA. I also have 2 dogs, ages 14 and 10. It gets expensive but I wouldn’t change a thing about any of them. All my cats use the same litter pan. I have tried 2 to 3 more, especially when a new member of the family arrives. After a few days they all use the same pan. Needless to say I am a scoop fanatic. I love The Litter Genie and have a generic form I bought before The Litter Genie was advertised. There are no refills for the bags so I buy small bathroom plastic bags and use one at a time. I absolutely love World’s best cat litter. There is no comparison when it comes to litter. I will have try the Nose Offense for my 14 year old dog. He has pee pee accidents once in a while. As you can see by the ages of my furry family. When the come into my life, they stay forever.

we bought paint scrapers – the plastic ones that are about 3 inches across – they work wonderfully to scrape the bottom of the boxes without breaking the clumps
I love love love the world’s best cat litter! My two cat’s won’t use anything else! I volunteer with the spca and wish we could afford to use it there! And I am going to have to get some of the Nose Offense for our little spca cat room at our local petsmart so it doesn’t smell for the potential adopters!
I use World’s Best with 2 cats. I have used others, but World’s Best IS the BEST. The dust created is extremely low, it’s conveniently flushable, doesn’t have that usual cat litter smell as others have and is 100% natural.
World’s Best Cat Litter is definitely one product I can’t live without. There is it’s great with odor control and clumping. There is also virtually no dust which is great for keeping both the house and my cat’s lungs clean.

My current favorite “cat” product is the puppy training pad (any brand)! One of my two cats is a high-peer; so the urine goes into the “seam” between the hood and litterbox, and down the outside of the box onto the bathroom floor. I got tired of having to clean the floor everyday, so I decided to place a training pad underneath the litterbox. Easy clean-up for me now!
We can’t live without World’s Best Cat Litter. It really is what the name says it is. We also can’t live without Feline Greenies Pill Pockets. My old girl has a thyroid condition and has to take a pill twice a day. With Pill Pockets, it is easy. She thinks she is getting a treat!

we can’t live without TidyCats litter box liners. We have tried all different brands, but these are the thickest plastic and least to tear completely. What I hate is how hard they are to find. I won’t buy any other brand.

I have the littermaid elite and believe it or not I find it easier to scoop with the worlds best as this is my second littermaid in two years and the rake has metal tines instead of plastic and it doesn’t work as well very disappointed it that but easier with worlds best

My girls have a covered litter box, this is also a must for us. It keeps the litter where it belongs instead of being tracked all over the place.

I can’t live without Natures Miracle. Whenever one of the cats decides let’s go outside the box I use it which takes the scent away so they will not go there again. But oh my The Genie looks wonderful…would love that.
The product that we can not live without in our house of 3 kitties is our Pioneer Fountain water bowl – love this this bowl! We use the “Big Max Stainless” version because it’s big (128 ozs! Perfect for multiple pets) and it is stainless (one of our kitties has an allergy to plastic). The bowl not only holds a lot of water but filters the water so it helps to keep it fresh. It’s a bit pricey for a water bowl but in the long run hydrated kitties = healthy kitties!

A year ago, I finally broke down and purchased the Worlds Best Cat Litter and I can say my three cats love it as much as I do. This product is one I cannot live without it now.
I absolutely LOVE the lavendar scented World’s Best Cat Litter and use nothing else, but I use a diaper pail to discard
and control the litter waste odors….can’t live without it!! I didn’t realize there was a Litter Genie!
Went a little nuts this summer and adopted 5 kittens as well as the 16 year old that I already had. Met a woman from a catch and release program and just started falling in love with all the kittens that were caught. They were so calm and loving, couldn’t see releasing them back to the streets after they were spayed and altered. So I adopted 5 and brought 2 to my daughter. As you may expect, I needed a great litter and Worlds Best Cat Litter is the greatest. It is flushable and the multi cat formula is the only litter that lasts with 6 tushies constantly in the box.
i use plain baking soda lots of baking soda 2lb each week and metal scoop in my shoprite brand catlitter its cheap and works pefect metal scoop is the best for hard dirty litter that is tough to scoop

With 7 cats, I have 5 big litter boxes. It never seems to be enough though. My favorite product is lampe berger lamps and oils for controlling odors. I light one for a few minutes every day and it instantly eliminates all cat and other odors in the house. People are suprised to learn that I have 7 indoor only cats because they never smell their litter boxes.
I’m interested in the cat litter. As it is expensive, I’m always tempted to compare it to other clumping litters available in the same amount for a dollar or two less, but I always come back to World’s Best–the least odor as it breaks down in use, and the very best clumping ability. I haven’t seen the Litter Lifter scoop before, but would like to try one, especially as my boy uses the same side of the box to pee in–like every other cat.
The World’s Best Cat Litter is just that! Ever since I started to use this product my house smells better, my cats are happier, and I don’t mind emptying the cat box.

I have used worlds best litter for a while now and love it. I recommend it to all cat owners I know. I also use the clear plastic box as my 2 cats seemed to miss in a regular sized one…I was surprised to see your recommendation. I will look for the scoops next time I shop.

l use the arm in hammer deodorizer powder. it keeps her catbox smelling nice, will have to try your( nose offence) l would love the litter geni. l use an old purina cat litter container to put bags in until garbage day..
I agree with your litter recommendation. I have tried lots of different litters. I have wood floors so cannot use any clay litters. Many of the non clay litters track and leave dust all over. Worlds Best litter does not track or leave dust and it controls odor with out perfume.
I absolutely LOVE World’s Best Cat Litter. I spent half of last year (literally) trying to find a better litter, and I can’t find one better than World’s Best. Not only is the odor control good, but the clumping is superb and there’s virtually no dust. It makes litter cleaning a breeze in the morning!
I have the litter locker II (almost identical to the litter genie) in two of the rooms with litter boxes and LOVE THEM! I’m now able to easily scoop 2-3 times a day without wasting a bunch of plastic bags and constantly going out to the trash! The product I love the most though are my pioneer fountains. I have them in black ceramic because the trouble makers in my household would be knocking over the stainless steel ones I’m sure. They are super easy to clean and look awesome in my house. I have both a raindrop and big max and love them both!
I love my pet water fountain. It keeps the water aireated and filered. Cats love the fact that its running water.
I all the 40+ years I have had cats, I have never have never found a litter better than World’s Best for odor control and non-tracking.
I can’t live with out Worlds Best Kitty Litter. Even though I have been unemployed for a year, and the cost is higher the most of the other kitty litters, I try my best to gather the extra cash to buy Worlds Best.
Even though there are less expensive kitty litters available, this one does the job that others don’t, especially if you have multiple cats.

My Petmate Automatic Feeder, as it is easy to use and very convenient. Moreover, I can control the amount of dry food my cats will eat. Definitely a great product.

We currently are using The Worlds Best Cat Litter & totally agree with the name. We originally were using a brand which coated everything with a fine layer of dust (including our lungs, I suspect). Next we tried the crystal stuff which if you stepped on it, was really rough on your foot. It’s promise of absorbing & odor control falling extremely short, being non-existent. Then we saw the ad on TV for WBCL free coupon. We thought we couldn’t loose, & tried it. WE LOVE IT!! Clumps better, no dust, environmentally friendly, great odor control, lasts forever. What’s not to like. We now are constantly recommending it to our friends. Best new product available in years. Thank you guys.
i use World’s Best Cat Litter and love it not only for the reasons you stated, but also because it’s virtually dust free!…with four litter boxes in proximity, that’s no small benefit!
also, because one of my boys developed a disturbing habit, i bought one of those Breeze litter systems and it has worked a miracle keeping him “in the box”….i never see him use a traditional box anymore and he now always uses the box… this really worked for us

I can’t do without the World’s Best Cat Litter, been using it for probably 15 years. I had to order it from the company because it wasn’t in stores, now I can find it everywere. Also can’t do without the Sterlite boxes either. I have used and thought of them many years ago also, I do cut a small opening in the front so they can step into the box easier. It is great for those cats who think they need to dig big and far, keeps the litter in the box not flying outside of it. Also the small 1″ tall metal bowls for their food from Durapet is great for easy cleaning and don’t have to worry about breakage or chemicals from other materal that bowls are made from.
I currently use a 5 gallon bucket to put my used litter in. I can empty it once per week and it keeps the smell away once I put a lid on it. I don’t know what I would do with out something like that because my box is located in the laundry room down stairs. I only have to haul it up the stairs once per week to empty it. However I have seen the Litter Genie and think those are pretty cool. I just can’t afford one right now. lol
We use the World’s Best litter and two boxes – one for each of our kitties (they dont like to share).
I currently am using a cone for my kitty. Without it, she would have no fur left on her body – and her neck clawed to shreds. Definitely can’t live without it. Hopefully in a couple of months, and some happy kitty pills, things will have changed.
I LOVE World’s Best Cat Litter. It doesn’t leave a smell. I started using it because it is supposed to be healthier than the clay for my kitties, but it does work so much better than the clay litters.
The other thing my kitties love for a treat is organic catnip!
It’s got to be baking soda with a couple of drops of peppermint oil to keep the box fresh. My little Diva won’t have a litter box without it!

We ALL love World’s Best Cat Litter. But what we can’t live without is the Cosmic Catnip Alpine Climb Scratcher. We had one ready for our Sandy the day we adopted her at age 3 from the shelter — and she has never scratched anything else — no furniture, no floors, no walls, nothing. She doesn’t even need catnip on it. Maybe she was trained by her previous owner but we feel very fortunate to not have to worry about her clawing anything.
I love the World’s Best Cat Litter because it clumps well and I can flush it into my septic system. As far as scoopers go, the bigger, the better. That being said, if you scoop too much and try and flush it, there is a chance for a clog which easily plunges out. My cat prefers the red bag, since the multiple cat formula seems to have a scent that repels her.
I love The World’s Best Cat Litter + when others see it + don’t smell it, they become users, too. My most useful item is a Rubbermaid scoop + it’s matching holder that hooks onto the side of my Sterlite litter box. The holder contains the loose litter often left on a scoop + the scoop is always available.

We use Worlds best litter in three litterboxes for all three of our cats, we have three scoops, and two litterboxes are “normal size” but one was bought as an under the bed storage box for blankets. it gives room for plenty of turning around and digging in just the right spot.

I have eight indoor cats, and over the years have used several different types of litter, many that were so dusty it was difficult to breath in the house, let alone how it affected the cats, I changed using clay clumping litter for the cats and tried a free rebate offer with “The Worlds Best Cat Litter”, what a difference, it is excellent, definitely a five star in my books, there isn’t any dust coming from it at all, it is so clean, doesn’t stick to the bottom of the box, which is a plus, no odor, it is also biodegradable so we can dispose of it on our garden or in the compost, or even flush it down the toilet which cannot be done with the clay litter. It also lasts so much longer than the clay litter, it is worth the extra money for the quality of the litter. I told several of my friends and encouraged them to try it with their cats and they have, and have had positive comments about this litter that is the Worlds Best Cat Litter. Irene
As a multiple cat household(5) we had to resort to several types of litter boxes to make everyone happy. The one system we could not live without is the Breeze system. It is very easy to use and clean. For the cats that do not use this system the best litter I have found is the Worlds Best Cat Litter and clean up is the LitterGenie.
i have no favorite products but the storage box for a cat litter box sounds wonderful. my cat is so big that her hind end sticks over the end of her litter box alot of times. THANKS

I too use the World’s Best Cat Litter. I use the clumping formula and by far it is the best for the money. As much as I like the litter, my absolutely-can’t-live-without would be the Littermaid Self-Cleaning Litter Box. It is a must have and it leaves a clean area for my cats to do their “thing” each time. It is a little pricey to start off with, however, I have had mine for just over 5 years and it still runs like a champ!!

We have 5 cats and there are several things we could not do without in our home.
#1 is Feliway spray keeps everyone calm and the males from spraying much.
#2 is Cat Springs, little toys which keep them occupied for hours and are cheap.
#3 is a very huge black plastic pan we got at our local hardware store (was for mixing concrete) and it is the best litter box we have ever had!

Upon going through my list of “faves” of the items listed and items that I have which aren’t, I ended up going back to your list. And the winner is, “World’s Best Cat Litter!” I have two indoor cats and two barn cats and have tried numerous cat litters, believe me. World’s Best is the Best by far. I think what I like most about it is the clumping ability it has. No more cat litter falling through the scoop all over the place. One scoop of the poop and you’re done! I have two daughters who have both adopted cats recently and I also have them using World’s Best. So, as you can see, we are all World’s Best fans! Thank you!
A diaper pail I purchased for a couple of bucks at a garage sale, World’s Best Cat Litter, and a really cool Litter box called a GIANT box but also made with the same mold into a Dog Bath by Petmate, I was able to purchase like brand new for a couple of bucks at a fund raising sale. All that and I am still having problems with my girl who wants to do what I do. I pee on the potty she runs to pee next to me, on the bottom of the potty. Cat psychologist online here?

My cats love their Drinkwell fountain. They also like the World’s Best Cat Litter.
I have just adopted my first house pet, a 4 month old Calico female kitten. So I’m terribly new about all of this. I let the pet store tell me what I needed. Now that I know about these products I will be trying them. Especially since a friend uses them and says they are great. I need all the help I can get. I think since my husband is complaining about the smell I will need to look for them tomorrow. Thanks!
We would not survive without our hand-held broom and dustpan. The kitties throw litter EVERYWHERE… I’m constantly sweeping! Can’t wait to try that Nose Offense. It’s hard to find something gentle and not so harsh and chemical-smelling.
I can’t live without Cat’s Pride flushable litter. With 11 cats I wouldn’t be able to carry the trash to the road.
Well, my 7 month old kittens (brother and sister) And I, We agree that the best ‘gadget’ we use is those reusable lids for feed tins. They love their expensive wet foods so to cut costs i buy the big cans.. the lids may be cheap but they keep the stuff fresh so my babies can enjoy their wellness food.
As for litter time, again we have to keep it simple.. plastic bag in a large tupperwear container to seal odour untill the baggy is full. Works well for being mostly free. (y)!
Litter liners! Even with scooping daily there comes a time when one has to completely empty the litter box(es) and throughly clean them. It’s so much easier to be able to pick up the liner and dump it all without getting it all over the floor. Occasionally they will claw the liner but it still helps.

This isn’t a product as much as my most “brilliant” idea. The litter scooper is kept under the bathroom sink in double grocery store plastic bags. When we adopted our newest addition (a stray), we didn’t want to expose germs between our residents and the stray, so she had her own separate scoop. For her, it was kept in her room in a brown paper bag with a handle (the kind Starbucks gives you when you buy merchandise). It’s lined with plastic bag and the handle is looped to a hook on the shelving unit in her room. I love this set-up because the scoop’s handle never gets exposed to litter germs since it sticks out of the bag. Just lift it out of the bag, scoop, then put it back.
I currently use Fresh Step litter…It works great but has alot of dust. I rescued 15 cats over the years and they are all still with me..so dust is always around…I need something that does not leave dust!
I used to use the cute pet poo bags from the dollar store, until I found the diaper disposal bags. Basically the same thing, but scented. Makes the litter garbage can way less offensive.
Love World’s Best Cat Litter. It is so easy to use and it’s flush-able. The only thing easier would be if the kitties scooped up after themselves but no luck in that area. These kitties came to me when they were a couple of weeks old. My son and a friend found them as they were about to take a death march across the highway. Each boy rolled one kitty in their t-shirt and skate boarded home. I really didn’t want to keep them but they have become my true buddies and comical sidekicks. They are both asleep in my lap (a little over-lapped) as I type this. We are pretty well intertwined.
Love, love, love Worlds Best Cat Litter. I have had cats for over 40 years and until I discovered this litter 4 years ago, I dreaded cleaning the litter box. What a fantastic product! Less dust, less or no odor, and everything is scoopable. Great product!
I think my Drinkwell fountain has to be one thing my cat can’t live without. They say cats hate water but mine seems to lap it up by the ounces. I also like my covered litterbox with charcoal filter. I love it because I have very little odor problems with the charcoal filter and there is no mess because its covered.
We have a problem with our dog eating kitty poo “treats” out of the box so we use top entry high sided boxes. The cats like them and our George who will throw 20 lbs of litter out after each potty break is under control too. I know this type of box isn’t for every cat but ours don’t get spooked and it’s working.
For years I thought my cats and I couldn’t do without Feline Pine. Now you have me wondering if World’s Best Cat Litter might be something to switch to…since I’ve always had problems scooping Feline Pine since the pellets are so large before they break down.
I can’t live without the Arm and Hammer Kitty Litter deodorizing powder and the Arm and Hammer Vacuum powder to pick up pet hair. Smells freash and clean and works.

We love our Drinkwell Fountain and our new ceramic fountain. We like to play in the fountains, but love to drink from the flowing water.

I use tidy cats litter that i buy from BJ wholesale, 38 lbs for $11. its not bad, but i would love to find a spray/powder for the smell. even though i scoop twice daily. As for a litter box/ scooper. I have an automatic litter box. I had the omega paw, and i liked it a lot. but i would have to put tape all around it to keep it from spilling litter.
on top of that my cat is a kicked and would kick litter everywhere that i would have to clean. Its tough because i have back problems. i switched to a new litter box, Catit Design SmartSift, from amazon. which i am in LOVE with. it has a clear door, so it limits her kicking of litter. all you do is turn a knob and the litter is cleaned in seconds. Sometimes there will be a clump stuck at the bottom (why do cats dig so deep just to do their business?) but you just bang softly the handle and it knocks it loose. its quick to clean, if you use a liner, you throw it out, along with the old litter, clean the small litter area, and then place a new liner.
there is a drawer where the litter collects, it can collect for a week or so. but i throw it out daily, as i dont want my cat smelling it. overall, i think its great and spares my back. only problem is, that when i open it, i can smell that its stinky. i just cleaned it yesterday and it stinks. it didnt stink this way with the omega paw, is it because it had a little door?

Just saw this – my fave product are puppy training pee pads – I put them under the litter boxes for the litter that gets dug out and in areas where our older cat has been know to have accidents. Says the carpet and makes clean up easy.

When my husband and I go places with our 5th wheel, we take our 6 cats with us. We use tidy cat for mutiple cats. We usually use the brand that we know, however, we do try other brands to see if they work better than the other brand. We love our cats, their are our kids.
I cannot live with out cat litter of course but also one of those plug in airfreshener things for those days I forget to change the cat litter box no stinky house
